Package: amarok
Version: 2.8.0-4
Severity: normal
Dear Maintainer,
I'm using Debian and KDE without any self compiled extensions etc. The
problem can be described quite easily.
When I insert a music CD into my BD drive and subsequently import it to
my local music collection, the speed with which the CD is read is very
slow. In particular, I can't hear the drive. This error also occours on
a notebook which uses a dvd burner.
It's not due to CPU load. In fact, my CPU is quite bored. All in all
ripping CDs takes quite a long time, which could be shortened by
accelerating the cd reading speed.
