Package: choqok
Version: 0.9.81-2
Severity: normal

After twitter's authentication system changes on August 31st [1], Choqok's old
existing accounts won't be able to authenticate due to the server refusing
requests with HTTP 500 replies.

When going to Settings menu -> Configure Choqok -> Accounts to edit my current
account (set up around July of this year), in the Edit account view under
OAuth
Authentication I clicked on "Authenticate with Twitter service" (the
Authenticated indicator being visible on green in spite of the
aforementioned),
so the app starts a web browser with an API access confirmation page from the
Twitter service, which then displays a PIN to use with the app.

However, Choqok doesn't display a dialog box to set the PIN unless I delete
the
old account and recreate it, and go through the authentication setup again.
This is a minor annoyance, but not all users might figure out this work
around.
After recreating my account settings, Choqok works perfectly fine.

I haven't tried newer versions from upstream to check if this is still a
problem and whether a fix could be backported to squeeze, yet.

I still have backups of my old choqokrc file if it's necessary for further
testing.
