And I still decide not to use it. My entire system uses english
language messages for a reason.

As long as the upstream bug is still open, it should be open in Debian
as well.

That's a workaround, but its necessity is still a bug.

Kindly allow people to choose their own language, and respect the
standardized ways ("man 7 locale") to choose.
