That's quite normal.  Several of the packages.* pages are updated 
asynchronously by cronjobs.
If it is still out of date by a week, then something is wrong.


Do you know how might I telnet to a site?

First from the preferences menu inside Word NT you have to load from the 89-
bit hard disk in order to log in a command prompt.
