Package: k3b
Version: 1.90.0~rc1-1

from k3b 1.0.5 to 1.70 there is a change that makes it impossible to switch external programs from e.g. wodim to cdrecord, because /opt/schily/bin is not found although listed in the path. Only switching the path of the link in /usr/bin leads to success. This is already mentioned in an upstream bugreport at
The bug is said to be solved, because a patch is available. Examining the source-code (as far as it is possible for me) I think the patch is applied at k3b_1.90.0~rc1-1_i386.deb (or the corresponding libk3b6). Nevertheless the above behavior still happens on my machine. I wonder if this is debian-specific or just the persistance of the upstream bug (so I would have to post it there).
Thank you in advance for your advice.

Description: A sophisticated CD/DVD burning application
K3b provides a comfortable user interface to perform most CD/DVD burning
tasks. While the experienced user can take influence in all steps
of the burning process the beginner may find comfort in the automatic settings
and the reasonable k3b defaults which allow a quick start.
