Package: k3b
Version: 1.0.5-3+b1
Severity: normal

- insert full CD-RW disk
- HAL polling on CD device is disabled (energy conservation, this is a laptop)

- right-click CD ISO image
- select Open with
- select k3b
- k3b opens and calculates checksum
- k3b detects full CD-RW disk
- uncheck Simulate
- check check-after-burning

- k3b asks for blanking disk
- proceed with blanking
- k3b blanks disk successfully
- k3b ejects tray

- k3b cannot auto-close tray <****************************

- k3b closes blank window
- k3b then fails with "cdrecord failed with insufficient access rights to open
device"

- re-burning on the now-blank manually reinserted CD-RW succeeds just fine

So, in essence, k3b starts cdrecord before it has requested
manual re-closing of the tray. It does know that it cannot
close the tray itself as the log file attests to:

This seems to be fixed:

        - k3b does not eject the medium before blanking anymore
        - therefore it does not need to close the tray

However, it now does not even *ask* whether it is
allowed to blank ;-) But that's another story.
