Dear maintainers,

confirming that the patch indicated by Leonardo Montecchi [1] in previous message #19 does work, tested on Debian Sid current with large image collection across multiple sources and mysql database. Digikam works as expected, two days of intensive use show no regression or side-effect, settings now fully functional and meta-data operations work.

Would it be possible to bump severity to "important" (due to stricter freeze in place) to get it in Jessie, or Jessie+1 at least ? Without the patch opening Digikam amounts to a local DOS for users of an external mysql database, usually those users are the ones with large images collections and more intensive use of Digikam.

Thank you for your work and attention.
