I think that the naming, *-kde is for differentation beetween pc - android
software. In Debian we just changed it, to only kdeconnect, to avoid
redundance.

How about kdeconnect5, renaming the kde4 version to kdeconnect4 (adding a
transitional package for kdeconnect) ?
