Let's start with the most important thing: I screwed up with my handling of Rohan's commits access. So: Rohan, my most sincere apologies. Technical details aside, I handled it in the wrong way.
We failed at various levels, me being one of the most incisive ones. That doesn't changes my point of view of the repo handling, but we should at least have managed things differently. I still think people should be mentored until we know they understand how to handle the repos and on the other side, in Philip Muskovac's (yofel's) words the ubuntu folks are unable to grant commit rights to their people. I still think there is room for collaboration, but in another way: using the magic of git repos and proper hooks. We can easily add hooks to push our commits to LP's servers (in a special branch maybe?) and if desired (and LP supports it), the other way around. Of course, I would very much appreciate another ideas. And again, Rohan, my apologies. -- Lisandro Damián Nicanor Pérez Meyer http://perezmeyer.com.ar/ http://perezmeyer.blogspot.com/
