I'm filing this bug to track discussion of support for packaging WebExtensions. It's not yet clear that we will need a packaging helper at all, but if we do, it makes sense to fold support into mozilla-devscripts, so I'm filing the bug against that package. This bug will become release-critical when every version of Firefox in unstable is greater than or equal to 57, assuming Mozilla's plans do not change. For now, it's a feature request.
