Hello Debian multimedia packages maintainers,
The file /usr/share/menu/vlc reads
?package(vlc):command="/usr/bin/qvlc" hotkey="V" needs="X11" \
section="Applications/Viewers" title="VLC media player" \
icon="/usr/share/vlc/vlc.xpm" hints="Video"
The new Debian menu subpolicy [1] states that Viewers is for non video players.
Video players should be in "Applications/Video" instead
