Sorry if I am annoying, but I was wondering if it would be acceptable
(for you, the Debian Multimedia Team and Debian Policy in general) to
just cut off the non DFSG-compliant parts from the orig.tar.gz. Since
they are just plugins the software (which is mostly GPL and LGPL) can
work fine without them.

As I've already said, I don't want to be annoying and I won't insist if you
just say no.
