Subject: mplayer: segfaults upon start
Package: mplayer
Version: 2:1.0~rc3++svn20100804-0.1
Severity: important

Mplayer segfaults no matter what I use for input (video or audio).
This also happens when attempting to play audio files in a console,
when no X is involved. The output of strace always terminates with
something similar to this:
munmap(0x7f88a004e000, 4096)            = 0
futex(0x7f889e3bc0ec, FUTEX_WAKE_PRIVATE, 2147483647) = 0
mmap(NULL, 212992, PROT_READ|PROT_WRITE, MAP_PRIVATE|MAP_ANONYMOUS, -1, 0) = 0x7f889ffbf000
getpid()                                = 3105

I'm sorry to hear that, but this copy of the binary package is not
redistributed by debian. Please contact the supplier of that package for
support. I suspect this would be http://debian-multimedia.org
