IIRC the main reason this was not yet uploaded is that the source files don't have licensing information - the README specifies the license for the whole package. While strictly spoken this might be legally sufficient, it's highly recommended to have licensing information in the source files, to avoid any confusion. I submitted patches that add the licensing information to the source files to upstream on various occasions. I always get a polite reply, but none of them have been applied... We probably should give up on that and move on. I think there are a couple of commits upstream ( http://slavepianos.org/rd/r/d/darcsweb.cgi?r=jack.* ) that haven't made it into our git yet.
