As I wrote to you on IRC please use git-buildpackage.A good starting point is "man git-buildpackage" - especially last line of it which points to the actual(!) documentation in an html file ;-)
Personally I googled for info on git-buildpackage when I started using it myself. Now I have dropped using Google directly (I use DuckDuckGo) but that's another story...
