I was in need for a supercollider [1] debian package and since I could not find one.. ..I took Dan 'MCLD' Stowell's Ubuntu package [2], more specifically the Natty-2 version [3] and helped myself. After two small patches (a fix for wiimote + gcc4.6 [4], and override to shlibdeps [5]) it compiles, installs and works on debian/wheezy+sid. All the hard work is done already: debianization, separate -emacs -gedit and -vim plugins, debian-readme's and whatnot. I don't know if Dan (CCed) is the sole author of the packaging (it looks like Free Ekanayaka and Paul Brossier had their fingers in there years ago) but it's a job well done and pretty much lintian clean though there are some scattered warnings. It's be great to get supercollider into debian [again]! Is anyone here interested and qualified to push this forward?!
