Package: audacious-plugins-extra
Version: 1.2.5-1
Severity: important
Audacious often disconnects from jackd, especially between two songs,
espacially when these two songs use different sound-formats. I got a
testing-tracklist with three tracks using my favourite sound-formats:
ogg, flac and mp3. In this configuration, the flac-track causes
audacious to create a new (unconnected) jackd-client before (from ogg to
flac) and after (from flac to mp3) the song. The old connection is
still kept up, but no sound-output goes through it. As a variation,
audacious crashes and must be restarted. (The old connections must be
killed seperately.)
I got other tracklists with mainly ogg- and mp3-songs causing a similar
behaviour, so it's not only the flac-format!
Audacious together with jackd is working best for me when using ONE
sound-format - but even then I can't be sure, it plays the queue without
crashing/disconnecting.
