Package: mplayer
Version: 2:1.0~rc4.dfsg1+svn34540-1+b2
Severity: wishlist
I have af=scaletempo in ~/.mplayer/config, because most of the time I
want to speed up videos so I can get through them faster without making
the audio high-pitched. However, every once in a while I run into a
video with intentionally sped-up or slowed-down segments that did not
use pitch correction (so they sound high-pitched or low-pitched), and if
I want to undo the effect, I have to turn off the scaletempo filter.
At the moment, I have to do so by editing ~/.mplayer/config, removing
af=scaletempo, re-running mplayer, and seeking to that point. I haven't
found any way to disable a filter either from the command line or from
the UI. Ideally, I'd love to have a "disable filters" key; in the
absence of that, I'd love to have a command-line option to disable an
audio or video filter, so that I can override the config file rather
than editing it.
