Package: cantata Version: 2.1.0.ds1-1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
* What led up to the situation? Cantata normally supports dragging local audio files into the playqueue (even with a remote mpd; in that case, cantata spawns an HTTP daemon and adds the HTTP stream to the mpd playqueue). * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)? I tried dragging a local mp3 file from dolphin into the cantata playqueue. * What was the outcome of this action? Cantata accepted the drop, but did not add the file to the play queue; no communication with mpd happened. * What outcome did you expect instead? Cantata should add the file to the playqueue and ensure that it gets served via HTTP for the remote MPD. Additional hints: - I tried different audio files, no difference. - I tried building cantata from source (https://github.com/CDrummond/cantata/, both master branch and v2.1.0 tag), where the feature works correctly(!). It seems to be something wrong with the debian package or the specific version used to build that package. - When building from source, it did not matter whether my firewall was open or closed. - This also appears to affect stretch/stable, even though I haven’t checked whether a build from source works there. kind regards, Jonas Wielicki -- System Information: Debian Release: buster/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (990, 'unstable'), (500, 'unstable-debug'), (500, 'testing-debug'), (500, 'testing'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 4.12.0-1-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages cantata depends on: ii fonts-font-awesome 4.7.0~dfsg-3 ii libavcodec57 7:3.3.3-3 ii libavformat57 7:3.3.3-3 ii libavutil55 7:3.3.3-3 ii libc6 2.24-14 ii libcddb2 1.3.2-5 ii libcdparanoia0 3.10.2+debian-11+b2 ii libebur128-1 1.2.2-2 ii libgcc1 1:7.2.0-1 ii libmpg123-0 1.25.6-1 ii libmtp9 1.1.13-1 ii libmusicbrainz5cc2v5 5.1.0+git20150707-6 ii libqt5concurrent5 5.7.1+dfsg-4 ii libqt5core5a 5.7.1+dfsg-4 ii libqt5dbus5 5.7.1+dfsg-4 ii libqt5gui5 5.7.1+dfsg-4 ii libqt5network5 5.7.1+dfsg-4 ii libqt5sql5 5.7.1+dfsg-4 ii libqt5sql5-sqlite 5.7.1+dfsg-4 ii libqt5svg5 5.7.1~20161021-2+b2 ii libqt5widgets5 5.7.1+dfsg-4 ii libqt5xml5 5.7.1+dfsg-4 ii libstdc++6 7.2.0-1 ii libtag-extras1 1.0.1-3.1 ii libtag1v5 1.11.1+dfsg.1-0.1 ii libudev1 234-2 ii libvlc5 2.2.6-3+b1 ii zlib1g 1:1.2.8.dfsg-5 Versions of packages cantata recommends: ii liburi-perl 1.72-1 Versions of packages cantata suggests: ii media-player-info 22-3 pn mpd <none> -- no debconf information _______________________________________________ pkg-multimedia-maintainers mailing list [email protected] http://lists.alioth.debian.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/pkg-multimedia-maintainers
