It seems the correct version number would be 5.240-1ubuntu0.1. Updated patch is attached. TEST CASE: 1. Add karmic to /etc/apt/sources.list. 2. Make sure libanyevent-perl is not installed. 3. Install anyevent-perl (from karmic, not available in lucid). 4. Install libanyevent-perl. With 5.240-1 installation will fail (trying to overwrite files from anyevent-perl). With the patch applied, dpkg should remove anyevent-perl in favor of libanyevent-perl.
