These two things are unrelated. libmime-lite-perl does not conflict with compiz or openssh-blacklist. Those packages are removed because they are marked auto-installed, and no other package still depends on them. To see why libmime-lite-perl was removed during the upgrade to 8.10, you'd have to look at the upgrade log.
