I can't reproduce this bug neither.
Are you able to reproduce this bug on an up-to-date system ?
If yes, could you send the results of the following commands:
# strace /usr/lib/libgphoto2/print-camera-list hal-fdi >/dev/null
# ls -1 /usr/lib/libgphoto2/2.4.6/
