Package: gphoto2 Version: 2.4.14-1 Severity: important Tags: patch, fixed-upstream Followup-For: Bug #683110
Dear Maintainer, I asked about this on IRC as it bit me, and the answer is that there is a trivial fix for it: http://www.lst.de/~mm/libgphoto2-no-clearhalt.patch I'm bumping the severity to important, as it essentially croaks, but I think it should be bumped to Grave, as within the lifetime of Wheezy, I would expect that some will not have access to USB 2.0 ports and thus make libgphoto2 useless for those. And I don't see any reason why Wheezy should be released with a known bug with a seemingly trivial patch. If I understand upstream correctly, the problem is not in libusb.
