Everytime I run pngquant, it immediately aborts. Here's a sample session
where I generate an image with ImageMagick:
% convert rose: rose.png
% pngquant 256 rose.png
pngquant: mempool.c:40: mempool_create: Assertion `!((uintptr_t)(*mptr +
(*mptr)->used) & 15UL)' failed.
zsh: abort pngquant 256 rose.png
