Hi,

I have a problem with postgresql packages from apt.postgresql.org on Ubuntu 14.04. Hope that this is the right maintainer address.

The problem is that I need to run i386 postgresql-9.2 on a amd64 machine (because I updated from 32bit to 64bit and only made a filesystem backup). Installing postgresql-9.2:i386 fails because it depends on postgresql-common and postgresql-client-common. aptitude, apt-get, and dpkg all claim that postgresql-(client-)common are not available for i386 even though the package is architecture-independent. I do not understand this. All other i386 dependencies can be installed easily.

I am not on the email list, any messages to me must go to the sender.

Best wishes,

Alexander
