Package: postgresql-9.1
Version: 9.1.2-1
initdb does misdetect C.UTF-8 as C (ascii) and populates postgresql.conf
wrongly, resulting that by default, all newly created dbs have ascii
rather than UTF-8 as encoding.
This also affects all other postgresql-* versions packaged in debian.
