Package: postgresql-client-8.3

The psql man page mentions ~/.pgpass in the "Connecting To A Database"
paragraph but not in the "Files" section (which was where I looked).
Some sort of mention in the "Files" section would be nice.
(even "~/.pgpass file: see 'Connecting To a Database', above" would
have saved me some time)
Also there no mention of what file is equivalent (if any) on windows.

Hi Jasen,
the situation is still the same, but I'll close this wishlist bug now
because the .pgpass file is indeed documented. The psql manpage is
already very comprehensive, but it's not meant to be a complete manual
for how libpq works. (.pgpass isn't a psql feature, but rather a libpq
one.)
Thanks for the suggestion, though.
