Indeed. My trade-offs of all the options *usually* results in going with
*not* including debian/ in upstream's (ie. my!) git and having foo.git
and pkg-foo.git.

Is this really so bad for your usecase? It is certainly more vanilla
and straightforward... reducing the bus number for these important
packages!
