Subject: libpq5: Possibility to specify the Kerberos keytab file
Package: libpq5
Version: 8.4.1-1
Severity: wishlist
Libpq often used for connect to the database without human assist. In
this case there is no opportunity to enter a password and get a ticket
for authentication in Kerberos.
Please add the ability to specify in a function PQconnectdb(conninfo)
path to the Kerberos 5 keytab file.
Keytab file is a common method of authentication without human and
its support has already been implemented in the postgres server.

Hi Denis,
while I agree that this would be a useful feature, there's little use
in keeping this wishlist bug open in the Debian bug tracker. If you
are still interested in getting this forward, cross-check it with the
PostgreSQL TODO list [1], and bring it up on the PostgreSQL mailing
lists.

I'm closing the wishlist bug now, sorry.
Christoph
