Package: paprefs
Version: 0.9.9-2
Severity: important
there is a switch to activate module-rygel-media-server from paprefs.
However, this module does only provide dbus interface for the communication
between rygel and pulseaudio.
audio stream is provide over http.
module-rygel-media-server.c
444: s = pa_sprintf_malloc("http://%s:%u/listen/source/%s", address, a.port,
name);
453: return pa_sprintf_malloc("http://@ADDRESS@:4714/listen/source/%s",
name);
My understanding is, that load-module module-http-protocol-tcp
is a must, in order to listen to audio.
I have marked this bug as important, because without module-http-protocol-tcp
the error you get is not really helpful to fix the problem:
