Package: libpulsecore8
Version: 0.9.13-2
Severity: normal

Hi,

Selecting previously deselected package libpulsecore8.
(Reading database ... 295617 files and directories currently installed.)
Unpacking libpulsecore8 (from .../libpulsecore8_0.9.13-2_i386.deb) ...
dpkg: error processing /var/cache/apt/archives/libpulsecore8_0.9.13-2_i386.deb
(--unpack):
trying to overwrite `/usr/lib/libpulsecore.so.8.0.0', which is also in package
libpulsecore5
dpkg-deb: subprocess paste killed by signal (Broken pipe)
Preparing to replace pulseaudio 0.9.13-1 (using
.../pulseaudio_0.9.13-2_i386.deb) ...
Unpacking replacement pulseaudio ...
Processing triggers for man-db ...
Errors were encountered while processing:
 /var/cache/apt/archives/libpulsecore8_0.9.13-2_i386.deb
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

I believe that libpulsecore8 needs to replace libpulsecore5 for upgrading to
work smoothly.

Thanks,
Anand

A version of libpulsecore5 in experimental was severly broken and caused this
issue. This version shoul no longer be on the mirrors though. If you downgrade
libpulsecore5 to either the unstable version or remove it from your system
things will work fine.

Given that this problem only ever occured when using experimental package i'm
not planning to do an upgrade path. (experimental is called so for a reason) :)
