Hi, this seems to be bug #681 upstream (http://www.pulseaudio.org/ticket/681) Ubuntu has a bug for this here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pulseaudio/+bug/394500 And there is a tip to disable udev and use the static hardware detection. Seems to work.
