Hi. Severity important as it IMHO contradicts the FHS and is thereby against the Debian Policy. pulseaudio seems to create /.pulse and /.pulse-cookie (again and again). The root of the filesystem is surely not the place for any Tom, Dick and Harry to create files there, neither pulseaudio. I guess these files should likely go to some place below /var.
