If pulseaudio works for you then of course you can't reproduce, but on that system for some reason it doesn't work, and I don't want to take one day to tweak configuration to make it work.

I didn't have it because on debian if sound doesn't work the quick fix is aptitude purge pulseaudio. If pulseaudio would have a sane default configuration and would work instead of not work, I wouldn't have even known I had it installed, but I learned that when audio doesn't work its it's fault, and removing it is easier than spending hours trying to fix it. If you are willing to help, I am willing to cooperate and send you configuration and details about my system. > Lowering the severity of the bug, I do not see anything critical here. Well it takes a bit of fantasy to understand that amarok is not working anymore because I've installed an IM client doesn't it? How are they related? So yes from my point of view, unrelated software broke. -- Salvo Tomaselli _______________________________________________ pkg-pulseaudio-devel mailing list [email protected] http://lists.alioth.debian.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/pkg-pulseaudio-devel
