When using vagrant, I'm getting the following warnings:

Gem::Specification#rubyforge_project= called from
/usr/share/rubygems-integration/all/specifications/net-sftp-2.1.2.gemspec:19.

I guess the variable just needs to get removed?

Right. it was fixed upstream in 3.0.0.
