Package: libjs-emojione
Version: 2.2.6-2
Severity: normal
Dear Maintainer,
I think we have discussed this on #829046. So I created this issue to
track it.
libjs-emojione is packaged from ruby source, which is in bad state since
it depends ruby now.
I think it should be built from js source, like code in:
https://github.com/emojione/emojione/tree/2.2.7
However the package name is already taken here, so I doubt whether it is
possible to create a new RFP and take over this pacakge name.
If you are going to package a new libjs-emojione, I should reminder,
in emojione version 3, the source layout has changed a lot.
In 2.2.7 tree there are sprites files[1] which is missed here.
However in 3.0 tree, these assets are in separate repo[2] now.
Maybe we should stick on version 2.
