Hello Santiago I just noticed (and filed as separate bug #1127665) the function of `debian/watch` in the underlying VCS was muted in 2021. Perhaps this is unrelated to the problem to engage the package (currently), but maybe a detail which prevents the version packaged to Debian (or its function) to be in sync with the one on rubygems.org.
