I'm a little surprised nobody has so much as filed an RFP for term-ansicolor. The reason I ask is I am in the planning stage of developing an app called live-workbench for creating and managing live-helper-based projects. See:
http://git.debian.org/?p=debian-live/live-workbench.git;a=summary One of the first features I have planned is to colorize log output. I think term-ansicolor would fit this purpose, but since I intend to package live-workbench for Debian when it is ready, I would prefer to use libraries already in Debian if they exist. Have I missed something? Should I be using something else? If term-ansicolor *is* the right tool, I guess my next step is to RFP libterm-ansicolor-ruby. I would be happy to contribute to packaging it, but am wary of over-extending myself by having to learn a whole new toolset, so if this work interests someone else here, let me know.
