I just tried some code from Ruby-Gnome2 (or, to be precise, http://ruby-
gnome2.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/ruby-gnome2/ruby-
gnome2/trunk/gtkmozembed/sample/ruby-gecko.rb?revision=4013&view=markup)
too and was also faced with

/usr/lib/ruby/1.8/i486-linux/gtkmozembed.so: [BUG] Segmentation fault
ruby 1.8.7 (2010-01-10 patchlevel 249) [i486-linux]

Aborted

I run
Linux jolap 2.6.32-27-generic #49-Ubuntu SMP Wed Dec 1 23:52:12 UTC 2010 i686
GNU/Linux
with
libgtk-mozembed-ruby1.8 0.19.3-1ubuntu3

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: ruby-gnome2

While trying to run geekast, I get this:

  anthony@powassan:~$ geekast
  /usr/lib/ruby/1.8/x86_64-linux/gtkmozembed.so: [BUG] Segmentation fault
  ruby 1.8.7 (2010-01-10 patchlevel 249) [x86_64-linux]

  Aborted
  anthony@powassan:~$

  Environment:

  anthony@powassan:~$ lsb_release -a
  No LSB modules are available.
  Distributor ID: Ubuntu
  Description: Ubuntu 10.04 LTS
  Release: 10.04
  Codename: lucid

  anthony@powassan:~$ uname -a
  Linux powassan 2.6.32-21-generic #32-Ubuntu SMP Fri Apr 16 08:09:38 UTC 2010

I've been getting some other segfaults on this machine in Firefox and
Epiphany, although it's not clear yet whether they're related.
