framework parts
to be marked as done.

Package: rails
Version: 2.0.2-2
Coin,
I'm using Rails without ActiveRecord and other modules, which can be
easily selected in 'config/environment.rb' with :
config.frameworks -= [ :active_record, :active_resource, :action_mailer ]
Nevertheless, the Rails info page which is the default when creating a
base application fails to give proper report in the "About your
application’s environment".
In fact, it is due to the 'components' method in
'railties/builtin/rails_info/rails/info.rb', which ignores the
selected framework parts. Thus, the 'component_version' method, which
is called for the report, uses the <framework>::VERSION constant,
which is auto-loaded by Rails. This later tricks several methods in
'actionpack/lib/action_controller/benchmarking.rb', because they
believe the ActiveRecord::Base constant is defined on the basis
ActiveRecord is.
So, either the tests in several parts of Rails should be fixed, or,
easier, the Rails::Info module should care about which parts of the
framework is selected (as there is no interest in reports for unused
parts).
I don't know Rails enough to produce a proper patch yet, but this
should be sufficient for knowledgeable people.
Thanks.
