Dear Maintainer,
In /usr/share/gitlab/Gemfile I had to change
gem 'vmstat', '~> 2.1', '>= 2.1.1'
to
gem 'vmstat', '~> 2.1', '>= 2.1.0'
So it would find vmstat and not error on postinst.
My other 2 bug reports are still an issue in 8.10.5 and as such I have not been
able to continue or get gitlab back up. Thought I'd report this one too while
I was working on #836870 which is mission critical ATM.

You can try 8.13.3 in unstable.
