The root cause of the issue is missing browserify package in debian, so we were forced to use node-browserify-lite to create libjs-fuzzaldrin-plus. I think the best option is the work around you mentioned ie, use the upstream provided libjs-fuzzaldrin-plus (but we can't ship that in debian). We can also try to fix libjs-fuzzaldrin-plus by adding missing bits using tools like sed.
