Hi,
sda is my system SSD.
I've also have an hard disk (sdb),
I always spin down sdb using hdparm -y /dev/sdb
to reduce noise and increase longevity of the disk.
When using systemd, in the shutdown process the disks spins-up
just before the computer powers off.
The disk is always umounted.
Regards

This probably just means that some data is flushed to the disk.
So this is kinda expected I'd say.
