Package: systemd
Version: 215-5+b1
Severity: important
Hello,
with systemd and two consoles configured (eg tty0, ttyS0) some boot
messages are echoed to all consoles and some only to serial console.
For example, when init decides to check disks during boot it prints a
few messages on the tty0 console and the fsck progress only goes to
serial console.
With sysvinit no messages go to tty0 so you can clearly see that the
progress is not displayed or displayed elsewhere. However, with systemd
you get a few systemd messages but bulk of the meesages (from sysv-rc?)
is missing. This results in no messages during fsck and apparent system
lockup.
Please fix the integration so that on all consoles that get init
messages all boot messages appear.
Thanks
Michal

Since we have received no further feedback and the existing information
is insufficient to further triage this issue, I'm closing this old bug
report.
If you still run into problems with recent versions of systemd, please
file a new bug report. It would be good in this case if you stick around
in this case for follow-up questions.
Regards,
Michael
