Package: systemd
Version: 241-7~deb10u4
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

I'm using libguestfs, which creates a VM images from the packages in my debian buster docker.

Very rarely, libguestfs fails detecting one of the LVM volumes it's inspecting.

More information on mailing list here:

https://marc.info/?l=libguestfs&m=161762331515987&w=2

The problem is that systemd/udev fails collecting the output of "dmsetup splitnames".

This bug was also mentioned here:

https://github.com/systemd/systemd/issues/18190

After I build systemd v248 from source - the problem goes away.

Probably a backport is needed.

Sam

Since I haven't heard back from you, I'm closing this bug report, since I'm
lacking the setup to reproduce the issue.

If you are still interested and available to further pursue this, please let
us know and we will reopen the bug report.

Regards,
Michael
