Hm, I'm a bit torn on this. If we go this route, then in order to be consistent, we'd have to create a whole bunch of such directories, basically for all those files: I don't expect those configuration files to be edited that often though. So I'm unsure whether cluttering /etc/systemd with all those directories would be worth it tbh.
