Hey.
When /tmp was switched over to tmpfs, it seems that there was no cleanup of
the underlying /tmp (i.e. on the underlying fs), so any files that had been
there, are still there and will – unless manually removed – remain there
forever.
Not really sure whether an automatic clean up is a good idea – in the extreme
case
people may put stuff there, assuming them to not be covered by auto-cleanup
because
that affects only tmpfs.
OTOH, if assumes/does something so stupid, there's no help ^^
Maybe at least add to the NEWS entry that people need to clean up manually?
Cheers,
Chris

systemd (256~rc3-7) unstable; urgency=medium
.
* NEWS: note that any leftover file in /tmp/ will be invisible due to
the tmpfs and other clarifications (Closes: #1072249)
* Add pkg.systemd.noukify profile. Will be useful for i386 reduced
builds
* d/rules: be more robust against non-existing dirs when deleting files
* Allow setting GENSYMBOLS_LEVEL from the environment. Needed when
building with llvm to work around #986746
