Package: systemd
Version: 208-1
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

after booting with systemd 208-1 the more important one of two NFS exports
is not mounted. /home (on NetApp FAS) is not mounted, while /somenfs
(on Linux NFS server) is:

/etc/fstab entries:
somenetappfiler:/vol/somevol /home nfs intr,nfsvers=3,sec=sys
        0 0
somelinuxnfsserver:/somenfs /somenfs nfs,sec=sys intr 0
   0

/home mounts nicely with mount /home after boot

Except of /proc/mounts after mounting /home manually:

somefiler:/vol/nas_user_home on /home type nfs
(rw,relatime,vers=3,rsize=65536,wsize=65536,namlen=255,hard,proto=tcp,timeo=600,retrans=2,sec=sys,mountaddr=…,mountvers=3,mountport=4046,mountproto=udp,local_lock=none,addr=…)

somelinuxnfsserver:/somenfs on /somenfs type nfs4
(rw,relatime,vers=4.0,rsize=524288,wsize=524288,namlen=255,hard,proto=tcp,port=0,timeo=600,retrans=2,sec=sys,clientaddr=…,local_lock=none,addr=…)

Additionally boot up takes very long:

ms@mango:~#1> systemd-analyze blame
         21.419s somenfs.mount

20 seconds for an NFS Mount!?

         19.807s crashplan.service
         12.045s networking.service

12 seconds for setting up networking?

I made a separate bug report about the slow boot.

Unlike with my laptop there is barely any output during boot.

Probably related:

#746358 systemd: system boot hangs if /etc/fstab contains an NFS mount

but /etc/network/if-up.d/mountnfs contains

if [ -d /run/systemd/system ]; then
        systemctl list-jobs | grep -q network.target && exit 0
fi

already (initscripts is 2.88dsf-53.2).

Probably also related:

systemd: NFS shares are not automatically mounted during boot
https://bugs.debian.org/739721

I won't upgrade to systemd 208-6 until it can co-exist with sysvinit-core as
I want to be able to init=/sbin/init as fallback if an update to systemd
breaks boot (earlier versions of systemd didn't boot this Workstation).

Ciao,
Martin

Martin confirmed, that fixing the fstype entry did indeed fix the issue.

Therefor closing the bug report.
