As a related remark, we already have the same problem if users rename their interfaces via udev rules and they don't use /etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules but create a custom rules file for that. -- Why is it that all of the instruments seeking intelligent life in the universe are pointed away from Earth?
