Subject: systemd: compress debug information sent with reportbug

Hi.

As mentioned already in #756248 and as per Michael's request there, I
guess I better do this as long as I'm still able to ;) ... and suggest
that the following:

When using reportbug a lot of debug information is attached, leading to
very large mails (in terms of size).

May I suggest to compress this debug information with xz or if you don't
want another dependency gzip (which is essential)?

Thanks,
Chris.

So, I thought about this, but I think it's just too useful, if the log
files are uncompressed. This way I can very easily glance at stuff in my
mail program. Having the files gzipped makes that vastly more tedious.
So I'm trading convenience over size.

Fortunately, we add the additional information as real attachement, so
the web interface to the bts is not cluttered anymore and still readable.

Sorry, but I'll have to close this wontfix.

Regards,
Michael
